Women do not need to see the picture of a man in social networking to know whether he is looking attractive or not. Recent studies reveal, women can determine accurately the attraction of a man just by reading how he describes himself in the online world, such as on Facebook and Twitter.
Professor Rebecca J. Brand, a psychologist and lecturer at Villanova University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, has asked 50 women to assess the 100 profiles of men aged 22 and 25 years of online dating sites. The respondents were then shown the photos and written profiles of 100 men separately.
Rebecca then asked respondents to rate the men through photos and written their profile data. But they were not told where the picture of a man who has a bio-specific data. Assessment of factors surrounding the level of confidence, a sense of humor, masculinity and attractiveness as a whole.
The result, researchers found that women do not need the photographs to determine where an attractive man. They can judge it based on the level of confidence that is reflected from the way he wrote his profile.
"Our data shows, interesting individuals who tend to write text (profile) that describes the self-confidence. High confidence that a woman might be seen as a sign that he has good qualities," said Rebecca.
In research to be published in the journal Computers In Human Behavior also shows, interesting-looking men in the photo it also has an interesting profile data. In other words, attractive-looking man who could write an interesting description of himself as well. what do you think?
